Psalm 146:6 NIV “He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them – he remains faithful forever.”

Our AAC missionary, Pete Brokopp, and his Envision Atlanta Team are doing incredible ministry in the Atlanta suburb of Clarkston. Many hundreds of refugee families representing 100+ ethnic groups from around the globe have been fed and ministered to during the Covid-19 outbreak. Pete’s team only reflects on the larger team of Alliance missionary workers serving around the world and their faithfulness to serve and shine Christ’s love. God has helped our global workers to be faithful even in the impact of a global pandemic.  

We read in Psalm 146:6 that our God “remains faithful forever.” When we read all of Psalm 146, the faithfulness, consistency, and absolute goodness of our one true God is clear. We live in a world where our leaders and heroes regularly fall short.  But God is the one we can trust because he really is trustworthy. Psalm 146 shows what God’s faithfulness brings about as we follow His calling for us:  to bring justice for the oppressed, food for the hungry, freedom for prisoners, sight to the blind, protection for migrants, and care for widows and orphans. God’s Kingdom changes the world out of His faithfulness. He is our example and is calling out to us to have our eyes wide open to see how we can join Him with Kingdom impact for all generations!

Let’s consider how God’s faithfulness in his promises impacts you in your calling. Our faithfulness to Him is in turn a beautiful picture of service to His glory!
