Women’s Bible study and ministry events are for post-high school-aged women. 

We encourage women to join Bible study before the first week, but we do allow women to join for up to three weeks after the start date. After three weeks we close the registration because groups start to connect and develop intimacy and confidentiality. We need to protect this. If you are joining late, it is highly recommended that you make every effort to attend the second week of study so that you can connect with your group and stay on top of the homework. 

We kindly ask that babies not attend our Bible studies or women’s events to maintain an environment where attendees can fully rest, connect with God, and engage with the teachings. An exception is made for infants 0-6 weeks during Bible studies, with alternative care required starting at week 7. For Tuesday mornings, Kids’ Bible Time is available, but space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Thank you for your understanding!

  • Women’s retreat the 1st weekend of March (weekend event) 
  • Women’s Christmas every other year on odd years (evening event)

We love that you have your own book and are ready to discuss it with others! Your registration includes a book for the study. We do this to ensure that each member has the latest edition of the book, and it helps our team remain organized in the counting and sorting process (we have a lot of women to keep track of). If you already have the book, you can take a second copy for a friend or you can submit a contact form to donate your book to someone in need of financial assistance 😊 

Registrations are an important tool that the women’s ministry team uses to track attendance, assign groups, and communicate to leaders who they should expect in their groups. When you register, we assume that you will be attending, thus assigning you to a group.  

Most of our Bible Studies are available to the public for purchase. We ask that you do not register and instead purchase the materials yourself for personal study. If the material is unique to Alliance Church, please use the contact form below to inquire about purchase. The ability to purchase Alliance-produced material varies from semester to semester.  

Congratulations on taking the step to join Bible study! We are so excited to have you. Here are some tips and tricks to making your first Bible study experience a breeze. 

• Registration happens on our website. You can access the current studies by visiting this page and clicking on “Bible studies.” Choose your preferred study, day, and time. 
• You can request to be with someone you know by filling in the appropriate space on the registration page. 
• Appleton Bible studies take place in the Student Ministries Center at the Appleton campus. Hortonville Bible studies take place in the Hanger at the Appleton campus. A map of the facility will be emailed to you prior to your first day of study. 
• When you arrive, you will type in your phone number on an iPad to receive your nametag.  
• Your nametag with include your name, your leader’s name, and the room where your study group will meet to discuss the content. You will always begin in the main room (either the SMC or Hanger). 
• You will pick up your materials on the first day of study. The cost of materials is included in registration. 
• Our large group time consists of announcements, snacks (for our morning Bible studies), and a video (if the study includes a video component). 

We have numerous ways you can become involved in women’s ministry! 

• Women’s Bible study roles: hospitality facilitator, book distributor, environmental developer 
• As-needed help to prepare materials prior to Bible study, assemble gifts for new participants, other miscellaneous tasks 
• Kids’ Bible Time worker. This is a paid position 2-3 hours a week during the Bible study session. 
• Soul Food (twice-a-year evening event), Women’s Christmas (every-other-year evening event), Encounter (women’s retreat)

If KBT is full, add your child’s name to the waitlist and register for Tuesday AM Bible study as normal. We will look for ways to fit your child in; sometimes we gather new workers or we can move things around to maintain a safe child-to-worker ratio.  If your child is still on the waitlist the week before Bible Study but you are unable to attend study without childcare, please use the contact form to receive a full refund for your Bible study registration. 

Don’t worry! If you miss the first week of study, we will have a special book pick-up extending to the week after study starts. If you would like to pick up your book early due to an absence during the first week, please use the contact form below and our admin will organize a time for you to pick up your materials at the welcome desk at the Appleton campus.
