Before joining Alliance Church in the summer of 2020, Rev. Brandon Hilstad served for five years as an international worker with the C&MA, during which he and his wife, Melanie, were involved in ministries ranging from drilling wells in rural Sub-Saharan Africa to creative outreach in post-Christian Western Europe. Before going overseas, Brandon served in the U.S. Navy for six years and spent six years in pastoral ministry at an Alliance church in the San Diego area. Brandon earned a B.S. in Christian Ministry and a M.A. in Christian Studies, both from Crown College.  

Brandon and Melanie have been married since 2004 and have four children, Maxx, Myles, Abi, and Knox. In addition to reading, playing sports, and tackling home improvement projects, Brandon loves preaching the Word and serving as Lead Pastor of our Hortonville location.
