Have each person in your family look up a verse or two from below and use this as a family devotional.
The word “overwhelmed” has been used often in the past few weeks to describe many aspects of life: our emotions, our hair that desperately needs to be cut, the number of days we are staying inside, and so much more.
For those of us who trust in Christ, we can confidently use the word "overwhelmed" in a different way - to refocus our minds on all that we have in Jesus.
He rescued us from the penalty of our sins - Acts 16:31
He calls us by name - Isaiah 43:1
We are His children - John 1:12
We are His masterpiece - Ephesians 2:10
He has a plan for our lives - Jeremiah 29:11
He is eager to hear us talk to Him through prayer - Jeremiah 29:12
He tells us this home is temporary but HIS home is eternal - 2 Corinthians 5:1
He will give us strength - Isaiah 41:10
Yes! Let’s be overwhelmed, but let’s be overwhelmed by God’s goodness and blessing.
