Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.”

Notice in this verse, David doesn’t say, “Gorge yourself on the Lord and see that He is good.” He writes, “Taste and see.” Ultimately, becoming a Christian is a complete and total transformation from the inside out. Throughout Scripture, it is clear that wholehearted surrender to God’s leadership is absolutely necessary.

However, it is also clear that many of God’s people and Jesus’ followers began with simply taking a small step or “taste” before eventually giving their lives to Him.
