Bended Knee

·

John 13: 1-17  “…Then he(Jesus) poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.”

Nobody ever said serving others would be easy. It’s not just our actions, but our attitudes that display our true love for others: our tone, our expressions, and the quality of our care. If we are true servants, all of these should reflect the heart of Jesus.

As we enter the Easter season, we can see Jesus, the son of God, model what it looks like to be a humble servant. If Jesus was willing to bend His knee to wash His disciples’ feet, we also must be willing to humbly serve others, including those who are difficult to serve.

Serve others this week - not out of obligation, but out of love. I Corinthians 15:58 challenges us to stand firm, let nothing move us (don’t give up!), and always give ourselves to the work of the Lord.

Let’s take time as a church family to pray for the medical workers who are working around the clock, humbly serving others. Pray for their physical, spiritual, and emotional protection.
